All of the willow fabrics handled at Yamashiro are made using Yamashiro’s original production method.
We ask our weavers (textile companies) to make detailed adjustments to the weaving method and threads in order to make the best use of their knowledge of the properties of the original threads used to make the fabric.
The bumpy surface of the fabric, which can only be created by natural materials, is called “shibo,” and the bumpy mountains created by Yamashiro’s original willow fabric are large and stretchable.
